Insta-Pro® International offers processing equipment and technologies worldwide for post-harvest agriculture. The nucleus of our business is dry extrusion, a mechanical and chemical-free process patented in the 1960’s by the founders of the company. Oilseed processing and nutrition is our main focus, with an emphasis on soybeans. But our technology can also be used to successfully process a wide variety of oilseeds, including cottonseed, canola/rapeseed, sunflower and palm kernel. To do this, we sell a full line of extruders, oil presses, containerized feed plants, and oil refining equipment.
Dr. Wijeratne is Director of Research & Food Technology for Insta-Pro international, the global leader in dry extrusion technology. He is a Food Scientist with Twenty-five years experience in research, training, and technology transfer with specialization in soybean processing technology. His prior tenure was at the University Illinois where he was involved in international programs in soybean processing and utilization. Dr. Wijeratne has provided services to soybean processing industries in 25 countries around the world.
