Annette Higgins, The Solae Company


Annette Higgins is Marketing Director for The Solae Company, a leading global marketer and manufacturer of soy-based ingredients. Ms. Higgins began her career in the soy industry over 12 years ago, when she joined Protein Technologies International, a division of the Ralston Purina Company.  She held various marketing roles within the Company in both the food and meat business.  In 2003, Ms. Higgins assumed responsibility as Associate Marketing Manager for 8th Continent Soymilk, a joint venture between DuPont and General Mills.  In 2005, Ms. Higgins assumed the role of Director, Global Beverage Strategy, for The Solae Company, with a focus on ready to drink beverages, infant formula, and clinical nutrition.   In her current role, Ms. Higgins is responsible for developing marketing strategies and programs to grow the Company's protein and fiber business within the North America food and beverage market place.  Ms. Higgins holds a bachelor's degree with a double major in Marketing and Business Administration from McKendree College in Lebanon, Illinois.
