Raj Gupta - ProSoya
He is the president of ProSoya (USA & Canada). He is the inventor of the patented airless cold grind soymilk technology and continues to improve soymilk technology through on-going R&D. He has a Ph.D. in physics. He has over thirty years of experience in R&D at the National Research Council of Canada, and in teaching at McGill University. He has over 100 research publications to his credit and more than a dozen patented inventions.
ProSoya Inc. is a world leader in the design and manufacture of plants and equipment using advanced soymilk technology. It conducts ongoing research and development related to the food industry in general and soyfoods in particular. It also offers expertise in the formulation, production, and packaging of value-added soymilk products.
ProSoya creates simple, cost effective systems to produce a soymilk base directly from whole soybeans. The soymilk base retains all the soy nutrients, without the beany odor and taste associated with traditional soymilk. The patented technology achieves this without the use of any chemicals.
ProSoya technology is currently being used in more than 45 countries. Our customers include DuPont, Kraft, Soya World, SunOpta, and Unilever. There are large-scale processing plants in Bolivia, Canada, Germany, India, Iran, Israel, Russia and USA. Over 1000 small, to medium-scale plants are located all around the world. ProSoya has technology transfer agreements with companies in Russia and India for the manufacture of smaller soymilk systems under license for use by mini-enterprises, institutions, hospitals, schools, nonprofit organizations, etc.
